GeneDescription Nccrp1 is a hypothetical protein belonging to an F-box subfamily. It is a FBA domain-containing protein LOC342897. It functions in target cell recognition and activation of cytotoxicity. It may function as an antigen recognition molecule.
GeneFunction Jaso et al. (2002) found that nccrp1 provides an important function in target cell recognition & activation of cytotoxicity. They suggested that NCCRP-1 performs a crucial function in innate immunity in teleosts. Their data suggested that the zebrafish NCCRP-1 protein may function as an antigen recognition molecule & may participate in innate immunity in teleosts. They showed that it shares a significant level of identity with another group of proteins belonging to an F-box subfamily.
GeneCloning Nccrp1 is contained in the BAC clone named DKEY-85K8 (Library: Daniokey; Vector: pIndigoBAC-536)
GeneStructure The gene encodes one transcript. The transcript ENSDART00000051186 consists of 6 exons and is 1,718 bps in length. The protein product (ENSDARP00000051185) consists of 237 residues.
