GeneFunction Bakkers et al. (2007) isolated three members of the Has gene family from zebrafish, has1, has2 and has3, which are closely related to the corresponding orthologs from human and mouse. The temporal expression profiles of has1, has2 and has3 during Zebrafish development were determined through semiquantitative RT-PCR analysis. This showed the expression of has1 transcripts during early developmental stages which was found to be initiated in 2-day-old larvae and continues in adult tissues.
